I'm sorry, but I have to strongly disagree. The one with the stars looked like what you would see hanging from the ceiling of a kindergarten classroom. What do stars have to do with water supply anyway? This one is clean, professional and gives all the proper information.
This is the 100th anniversary logo, it should look different! Most of the submissions look pretty similar, and they are just slight modifications of the original logo, including the one selected. Logo number 7 is the best. It is different, but still professional and has the years along with "100th Anniversary". It looks like a lot more time and effort went into this logo than the majority of the logos submitted.
Let's try to be nice here...I'm sure a lot of thought and effort have gone into all the logos submitted. There's no reason to belittle the amount of time someone put into this project.

I agree! I like the one with the stars better. It still has the original logo, but it isn't boring.
